For the cobweb effect, it is essential to lay out fibres very evenly and consistently, so the day is started by students making a practice sample to gain experience before starting on the scarf in earnest.
The design is plain, so that the full beauty of this blend can be appreciated, and the emphasis will be to make a stable and durable fabric.
The finished scarf will measure approximately 160cm x 18cm (65" x 7").
