All You Can Learn in One or Two Days

• This workshop is suitable for both novice and experienced felters.

• The fear of failure, making "mistakes" and of wasting materials, is a real concern for most of us and can stifle ideas and creativity.
• This workshop is intended to address these issues by stretching limits, breaking away from old patterns and perceived rules, and allowing yourself to try things just to "see what will happen" without fear of wastage or failures.
• There can be no mistakes when there are no preconceptions, and the door is opened for many surprising results.
• An important dimension to this workshop are breaks for discussions, comparisons, and sharing ideas among the group.

• We start where you're at, then go where our ideas take us.
• Students will start by choosing from a large selection of wools, fabrics and silk fibres, and sharing ideas of how to combine and felt them before going on to making samples.
• Breaks for discussions will be whenever the group needs them, with fresh ideas popping up and confidence building as the day goes on.
• This is a great way to try many techniques and materials, learning from the experience as well as from the experience of others in the group.

• With creativity now loosened up, and ideas flowing, students will plan and make various colourful and textured felted projects.
• These could be whatever comes to mind from the techniques and fibres sampled.
• The confidence, knowledge, and skills acquired, plus ideas you have picked up from the other participants, will be invaluable in planning and executing future projects.
